How do I create Flash animations?

I have always been fasinated by flash applications and how people can unleash their creativity. I would love to do such things but I do not know where to start. Please send some help my way!!

1. You have to buy the program to make the animations. The program is called Flash and the version I'd recommend are Adobe Flash CS3 and Flash 8. Flash 8 is less expensive because it's older but it's still very relavent when it comes to making good Flash animations. Adobe Flash CS3 is the latest version, but due to the fact that it's newer it is more expensive. Typically Flash runs at about $700, but with a student discount it's about $250. You could also search ebay for a lower price (my friend got it for like $20 on ebay a few years ago).
